We are at the very beginning of time for the human race... there are tens of thousands of years in the future. Our responsibility is to do what we can, learn what we can, improve the solutions, and pass them on.

Experience Physics at Miami

In our technically-oriented society, many professional fields need individuals with strong science backgrounds. More than ever before, women and men who study physics find themselves entering a wider range of career fields with an excellent foundation for success.

Our goal is to provide undergraduates with a liberal education from which a variety of careers might be explored. Studying physics develops your analytical thinking, problem solving, and communications skills.  Our graduate students complete advanced level courses in physics, mathematics, and other sciences, and complete a thesis based on original research. Graduate and undergraduate students work closely together, under faculty supervision, to achieve their research goals.  Please follow the Prospective Students links for more information.
