Benson Lecture Planned for March 24th
The annual George Benson Memorial Lecture will be given this year by Miami Alumnus Craig Benson. Mr. Benson earned his Masters in Physics in 1988 from Miami University and continued on to receive his M.B.A in Operations Research in 1989 from Miami. Mr. Benson is a senior scientist at Wyle’s Advanced Non-Destructive Inspection Division. Working in the Non-Destructive Testing field for more than 20 years, he specializes in the Eddy Current and Ultrasonic Methods and the robotic deployment of these methods to inspect Military Aircraft Engines and Aircraft Structures. Mr. Benson was instrumental in starting Wyle’s Inspection Services, involving the inspection of manufactured rotating jet engine disks which are flown in high performance military aircraft. Mr. Benson recently started a new probe services business for Wyle that produces the eddy current sensors used with Wyle’s Eddy Current Inspection Station. Mr. Benson is the son of Letitia Benson Patterson and George Benson, for whom this lecture series was established. Benson Lecture Flyer
