Don Hopkins

I spent 29.5 years at NCR, the last 33 months as VP and CIO before I retired.  I was recently hired as the VP & CIO for SunGard Availability Services.  As a separate note, I did teach High School for five years where I was the only physics teacher and taught a variety of math classes, computer science and chemistry.

Currently, my daughter, Jane, is a senior at Miami majoring in Biochemistry and Botany.

"The major contribution that Physics made to my life was developing strong problem solving skills. Physics taught me how to apply theories and mathematics to real world problems.  In my career, I have been successfully in applying technology to solving business problems. I believe that my time at Miami was very key to my successes in life."
