My experience with Miami's physics dept has been a wonderful one. I owe it all to the wonderful professors I had while attending Miami for 7 years: Jim Poth, Joe Priest, John Snider, Phil Macklin, George Arfken, Dave Griffing, Glenn Julian, and Don Kelly. I earned my BS in Physics in 1970, and worked as a graduate assistant in the department from 1970 to 1973. I received my MAT in 1973.
I taught high school physics, AP physics, chemistry, and physical science in the Winton Woods City School system for 30 years until 2003. I am currently teaching part time on the Middletown and Hamilton campuses, and have been since 1974, teaching the evening College Physics, etc. I was fortunate to be in on the beginning of the Teaching Physics and Chemistry with TOYS workshops that started in 1986. I am still doing that for the Center for Chemistry Education.
