J. Scott Sykora

J. Scott Sykora is president of LJM Partners, a commodities trading company.  Responsible for all LJM operations including financial reporting, regulatory compliance, marketing/advertising and new retail sales, Scott joined LJM in February 2006 after seven years with Deloitte Consulting Product Services LLC, where he acted as Portfolio Director. 

Prior to Deloitte, he worked at the Hewlett-Packard Company in the global system integrator alliances organization. From 1989–1995, Scott worked at his family's business, Floralife, Inc., where he acted as President and COO. From 1979-1989 he worked in the Computer Sales Group of the Hewlett-Packard Company. Scott earned a bachelor's degree in Engineering Physics from Miami University in 1979 and has an MBA from the University of Chicago.

They taught by example and lead by enthusiasm—faculty like Dr. Joe Priest who once took a snapshot of the incoming freshman class each holding up a sign with our name.  He promised by the next morning he'd have all of our names memorized and if he didn't, that student would receive an "A" for the class.  Needless to say, the only "As" awarded that year were earned through hard work, not by a failure on the part of Dr. Priest."  J.
