Jim Prosek

I graduated in 2003 with a BS in Engineering Physics and minors in Math and Naval Science. After graduation, I was commissioned as an officer in the Navy and attended the Navy's Nuclear Power School in Charleston, SC. After a year, I graduated as a Naval Nuclear Engineering Officer. I spent three years living on Waikiki Beach in Hawaii while I was stationed on the USS LOS ANGELES submarine. It was a great experience that allowed me to see a lot of the world while making life-long friends and doing an important job. I moved to Connecticut in late 2007 where I teach Submarine Warfighting Tactics to officers.

"My time at Miami, and specifically in the Miami Physics Department, was a great time and has prepared me very well for my career and many other of life's challenges."
