I am entering my 40th year of teaching (30 here at Montreat College in NC). I teach general physics alternate years and astronomy the other years. Most of my teaching load has been in mathematics for the past several years. Having become a Christian in my freshman year at Miami, I have had an interest in integrating my faith in my teaching discipline and Montreat College gives me the opportunity to do this. I have taught "The Science and Theology of Origins" twice in conjunction with one of our Biology professors and one of our Bible and Religion professors.
I enjoy hiking with colleagues during our breaks and being a grandpa to my five grandchildren. My wife, Mary Anne (BS 1969) and I celebrate our 40th anniversary on August 31, 2008.
"I cannot imagine a better place to have studied undergraduate and masters level physics than Miami University under professors like Don Kelly, Joe Priest, George Arfken and the others. Such personal attention from such capable professors is unusual at a large university." Lloyd Davis, AB Physics 1967, MS Physics 1969
