Sandipan Basu

For me, my Miami Physics MS (2008) prepared me well for a PhD.  I came from a non-physics background with a BS in Electrical Engineering from India and I needed an MS from a university like Miami to get me oriented for a PhD.  All the faculty are comparable to any other institution and are top class...especially some of them involved in cutting-edge research.  More than that, the faculty are like a family at Miami.  Their advice and closeness meant a lot to me, which is not easy to get in this world.  Overall, I had a very good and worthful experience at Miami.
